Hi-Speed Fast Broadband Is Available Now In The South West (old)
HOW IT WORKS. IT IS SO SIMPLE.
Words like 4G Rural Broadband or even Wireless Broadband can sometimes sound confusing and frightening. But it needn’t be.
You do not need a telephone line to get broadband, just like you don’t need a “TV Cable” to receive digital TV.
We all know that a good TV installer will direct you TV aerial towards to TV Transmitter. Your TV aerial will receive the TV transmitter “signal”, then through a coaxial cable down to your TV. All TVs since 2010 come with Freeview built in so once you have unpacked the TV your all set.
It is the same with 4G Rural Broadband. Firstly, you don’t have to be “4G area” to receive 4G like you do on your mobile phones (as these do not have an antenna in). We locate (before installation) where your nearest 4G mast is and will mount as small (high gain) 4G antenna on the side of your house or chimney.
We then use cables from the antenna to the 4G Router inside your house. As the 4G Router does not require a telephone line, it can be positioned anywhere in your house. It then works by putting a 4G Data Sim Card into the back of the router and away you go. Fast Speeds are coming.
1 - Fast
Supplying Wi-Fi internet using 4G router technology we can give you fast broadband at a competitive rate.
There is no landline required. SWMB can offer high-speed broadband for businesses, homes, motorhomes, caravans, cars and holiday homes.
We can offer speeds of up to 150MB, and can pick up 4G signals up to 10 miles away, so even if you are not in a “4G area” we can still deliver the technology available. EE have the fastest and most comprehensive network in the UK and with their competitive contracts can offer the solution you require. So, whether you just use your PC, phone or tablets for web browsing, and emails, socialising on Facebook and Twitter, using YouTube, or even right up to streaming on Netflix, BBC or ITV player, or sports channels and Sky Go we have the solution to meet your needs.
With speeds (on EE) with a 4G antenna ranging from 15MB/s to 120MB/s download, and 1.5MB/s to 45MB/s with a latency (delay) of 20ms to 50ms it is as good if not better than FTTC fibre from Openreach.
2 - 4G Router
Take full advantage of your cutting-edge 4G LTE network with the TP Link Router, which can achieve download speeds of up to 150Mbps. This allows you to share your 4G LTE network with multiple Wi-Fi devices so you can enjoy uninterrupted HD movies, rapid file downloads, and video chats that won’t freeze up.
No configuration is required. With an integrated 4G LTE modem and a built-in SIM card slot, all you need to do is insert a SIM card and turn on the TP Link Router. Enjoying fast, stable Wi-Fi on a 4G LTE network has never been easier and you can also easily know how much data you have used and how much you have left. You can even give yourself a warning if you are near to your data limit, so you will never go over.
What can I expect from this router?
The TP Link Router is a great router for both personal and professional environments. Just insert a sim card allowing it to connect to /4G LTE mobile phone networks. This ability to connect to both network types ensures you will always be able to get online. Simultaneous dual-band wireless can deliver speeds of up to 750Mbps ensuring that all of your portable devices have fast, reliable access to your network at all times. There are also four 10/100Mbps wired Ethernet ports on this router to allow you to plug your devices in directly.
Do I need to configure this router?
When using the Router on 4G LTE you can operate the router simply by inserting your sim card and connecting your Wi-Fi devices to it. When using it on other internet connections you can be up and running simply by plugging an Ethernet lead into the WAN port on the router. The router also has wall mounting sockets to put up on the wall saving space.
3 - Signal Boost
Using an Omni Directional 4G LTE MIMO External Antenna with the TP Link modem we can receive a strong 4G signal from mast over 10 miles away. This antenna is designed to boost signals in all areas. If your signal is very low or even if you cannot connect to a 4G network, it can gain signal to very high strength and this allows very fast broadband speeds even if you are not in a “4G area”.
These antennas have SMA plugs which fit directly with a router and comes with a 5 or 10m low loss cable (or further lengths available on request) and we provide installation and set-up for you, so you don’t have to do anything. Just switch on the router insert the sim card and away you go.
Most other antennas come with a fixed 5m cable, meaning some installers have to only 5m meters of cable from the antenna to the router to play with. We can use any cable length due to the antenna having an extremely high gain. We use low loss cable to minimise the signal strength loss due the cable (up to 10m) and ultra-low loss cable cables for lengths up to 20m.
With a size of just (L*W*H) 20.70×20.70×2.20cm this is very small, can be installed on grade listed II buildings without special permission, and it will not look unaesthetic on your property.
If required we have a larger directional antenna which has a gain of 24dBi, to use in even the most demanding of applications.
